In order to refresh our memory on what happened to JFK, please watch the videos in order. Then follow the directions below. The first video is an explanation of what happened after he was assassinated. The second talks about theories that have emerged since the JFK documents have been declassified.
The Investigation!
Please look through these files to see if you can find any hidden information or come up with a new theory for who killed JFK.
You may work alone or with a partner. If you are working with a partner, create a google doc and share it with each other.
Create a theory or a few questions that you would like to find the answers to about what happened to JFK.
Look through the documents to try to find information that supports your theory or answers your questions.
You do not have to read the whole document, just scan them for information.
Look at the very first page to figure out who wrote the document and what it's purpose was.
As you find information, copy and paste it into your google doc if:
It supports your theory
Answers a question
Makes you ask another question (and write that question down)
Surprises you
When you are done you should have at least 6 pieces of evidence from the documents.
Write a short explanation about what you found and whether or not it supported your theory or made you ask more questions. Please include what you learned from this.
Once you have done all of these tasks, you may share your google doc with Ms. McLean to receive credit for the activity.
